Are these courses really counted as live hours?

Yes, the AARC has approved these as "Instructor-Directed", "live" credit hours. A toll-free number for comments and questions for the content expert is provided directly above each slide. Alternatively you may also send an email. An email link is provided on the upper left of each slide. The ability to interact in real time with the content expert gives the courses the "live" designation. However, this means in order to receive credit, the courses must be taken during the times our content experts are available. The times are listed on the calendar. All sign-ins from other times are deleted.

How many CE hours do I need? How many of these hours can I take self-directed?

Click here to view a table indicating current requirements.

Is there a post-test after the presentation?

The AARC does not require testing for live courses, therefore there is no test. However, you must fill out the evaluation form to receive a certificate. The evaluation is found by following a link on the last slide of each presentation.

When signing into a course why don't I need to add my address?

The free lecture requires more sign-in information in order to insure users get proper credit for taking the course. When you pay for lectures we will receive your address information. Therefore all other courses only require your name, email address, and AARC number (if you have one).

When can I get my certificate?

Certificates are posted the next business day by 6 PM Central Time. All certificates from Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be posted by 6 PM Monday. Our office is closed on some holidays and occasionally for weather emergencies such as ice storms. Certificates will be posted as soon as possible and will show the date you took the course.

Where are my certificates posted?

Click here to go to the 'Get Certificates' page. From there you will find instructions on how to access your account.

I don't have a printer- can you mail or fax my certificate?

Yes we can! There is no additional charge for this service.

Can I take the same course as a self-directed if I have already taken that course live?

No - you cannot submit two certificates for the same course, even if one was live and the other was self-directed.

I can't hear any audio, what do I do?

Click here to go to our audio help and test page.

Can I use a dial-up connection?

Yes you can, but you will not be able to load our lectures as quickly. Patience will be required.

What if I get disconnected during the lecture?

Simply sign back in and quickly click through the slides until you reach the point of disconnection. Continue from that point forward as if no disconnection occurred. You will only be charged once for taking a course.

How do the links in the presentations work?

These links take you to other websites for further information, like movies and graphics. They are designed to open in a new browser or a new tab within your current browser. You should not lose your place in the presentation.
